Affino 9.0.10 - the Elevation Update - raises clarity, speed, and control across the platform. We’ve focused on getting more done in less space, with a refined Control Centre that makes key views denser, cleaner, and easier to use on any screen.
Affino Support AI now lives directly in the Control Centre, bringing instant answers into your daily flow and syncing with your Affino.com history. Under the hood, AI chat, profiles, reporting, and performance have all been refined for faster, more consistent results and tighter security options.
CRM gets a major rethink: decluttered screens, quicker search, task workflows that actually stick, and flexible settings so you can tailor what you see to the way your organisation sells, serves, and grows. It’s the same power, now far easier to drive.
Commerce teams get a new Subscription Dashboard for quick, actionable insight, plus smarter setup checks and clearer invoicing options. Content teams benefit from streamlined subscriptions, richer article and award configurations, and upgrades to forms, media, and search.
Finally, a host of quality-of-life improvements polish the everyday experience - from smarter navigation and clearer staging indicators to Excel-friendly exports and component updates. Altogether, Elevation is about making Affino feel lighter, faster, and more helpful every time you sign in.
With around 500 improvements across Affino (and plenty of behind-the-scenes polish), it’s a good idea to check your usual journeys on staging, or after you update.
Affino Support AI & Control Centre Updates
We are introducing the Affino AI Assistant directly in the Control Centre with this update. You will find the button for it on the top right of every Control Centre screen and you can directly ask whatever Affino related questions you want from the AI Sidebar. You can then expand the AI Assistant in a dedicated AI screen within the Control Centre. This means answers to your questions are just a click and type away.
This uses the same great Affino Assistant as is on Affino.com and if you use the same email address on your Affino instance as on Affino.com then the two will be synced and you can easily navigate between them for your full Q&A history.
We have been focused on maximising the content you can have on-screen, especially if you are using mobile and tablet devices, or smaller laptops and even split screen with multiple browsers side by side. The first nice enhancement here is Control Centre Navigation - when the navigation is minimised on the Control Centre, you can now rollover the first three hub icons to see the list of sub control screens. This usability improvement is particularly useful where you are working from a smaller screen and need to maximise the main area.
We have also updated the CRM Navigation specifically so that you can now see the latest Contacts and Accounts you viewed directly on the CRM Nav Bar. You can also see the Upcoming and Overdue tasks on the CRM Nav Bar, meaning that they are much more present and easier to navigate to. We have also optimised the CRM Search so it is now much faster with large audiences.
Affino’s core Control Centre engine has been updated so that when viewing the detail of any core item it now fits much better on mobile and tablet screens, and overall we have focused on information density so that you have to do much less sideways scrolling than before.
We have also added the Red Staging Site Bar to the top of the Display side on Staging Sites (in addition to having it on the Control Centre), so that you will never again be confused if you are on your staging or live site.
AI
This Affino Update is focused on improving the core Affino AI Engines already in place. We took a lot of learnings from the great number of AI prototypes and services being developed and launched on Affino AI these past few months, and have focused on making everything as simple, smooth and refined as possible.
The next update will see breakthrough Affino AI service innovations, for now, here are the highlights of all the great refinements we have made to Affino AI in this update:
Affino Support AI - see above
AI Chat - we have greatly refined the AI Chat engine and the overall experience when setting up AI Chats and AI Assistants. Almost every aspect has been improved and refined to work simpler, smarter and faster.
AI Profile - added a separate prompt for the site search AI calls; added settings to control how you wish to manage links in AI results for Articles, Sections, Channels, and Forum; added an audit trail for the generation of AI data; updated the default value for the Contextual Retrieval Prompt; updated Content Security Right to Security Group for Article Questions and added a Site Search Security Group setting.
AI Report - new Activity filter and column added to the AI Report so that you can immediately identify the type for each activity.
AI Performance - we have made some key updates that boost the AI performance overall so that you will notice consistently faster responses, note that quite a few Affino instances will already have some of these updates applied.
Mass Content AI - we have made a host of improvements for faster, more efficient, more precise content creation and indexing. A great number of indexing improvements have also been made to make things more robust and resilient.
Search AI Overview - it is now possible to configure the AI Overview Cards on the Site Search to only show for selected users, and to tailor the AI search overview card response so that it is distinct from the related AI chat.
Note - review your AI Profiles when you update, in particular the security settings as you can now lock down both the Article Questions and Search AI Overview more effectively.
CRM
We reworked every CRM screen for an easier, faster, and more effective experience. We decluttered each screen and made them faster and simpler to use, without losing any of Affino’s great capabilities.
There are over a hundred different CRM updates in this release, in addition to the updated CRM Navigation and Control Centre display optimisations outlined above.
The CRM itself has become far more capable over recent years, with improvements for marketing, sales, events, awards, audience segmentation and much more. The challenge was that it was a one-size fits all approach and was starting to become overwhelming, with over a hundred Account fields, and dozens of advanced filtering options throughout.
This update sees a great deal more CRM options available in the CRM Settings, so you can tailor the Affino CRM much better to how your organisation uses it. If you’re not running events or directories, or providing subscriptions services then most of those elements can simply be hidden in the CRM by switching them off in the CRM profile.
We have focused on ‘on-screen information density’ essentially getting as much useful information as possible on the screen at the same time. You can collapse the navigation menu and use it in mouse-over mode, and you can hide and display a host of columns on the Account, Contact, Opportunity and Task listings. Those listings have also all been refined so that information is displayed much more efficiently.
We surface more key information, more effectively on the main Contact, Contact List and Account panels when viewing them, with new information such as Best Time to Call, copy email buttons, and links out to ChatGPT and Perplexity for fast, highly informative profiles on Accounts (companies) and Contacts (people).
Tasks have been transformed in this update. Adding them to the CRM Navigation means they are now always at hand, and far more effective than before. The Task listing now default displays your tasks, and you have more flexibility in how you filter and sort them. We have added Task History so every task update is logged as you go along. It is now possible to create a Contact Note directly from every task (and vice versa) it is also far easier to create tasks throughout the CRM. You can even edit task details directly from the task view screen for faster and more refined workflows.
Forms have been greatly improved, great for lead generation and low friction go to market (GTM) landing pages, so you can now embed them in any page design, have custom text on the call to action buttons, create a contact in the CRM from any form entry (and map the form entry fields to the CRM Contact fields). See more details below.
Other CRM enhancements include:
Account - Size and Annual Turnover - now support alphanumeric values, with full support in import/export processes.
Account > Featured Content (new) – allowing configuration of featured articles, images, documents, and a custom link.
Account > Pre-filtered Contacts - for Primary, Marketing, and Invoice Contacts.
Account > Associated Account – now clearly indicates the direction of the relationship (to/from).
Contact > Filters - new filters for Logins, No Account, and Created Date(s) for cleaning up and refining contact details and audience onboarding.
Contact > Details tab - now lists the content subscriptions a user is subscribed to.
Contacts > Digital Assets tab - added a tickbox to “Hide Re-assigned” subscriptions to improve usability.
Contact > Listing - added a Logins (365) filter; added created data filter; added an Account Contact filter for displaying results by primary, marketing and invoice contacts; updated to show fewer conversion event badges but now expandable (same on Accounts).
Contact > Permission tab - added the ability to unsubscribe users directly from the Control Centre.
Contact Lists - updated the summary panel to be more readable on mobile devices; fixed an issue adding contacts to a Contact List; fixed an issue not displaying the Account correctly on the listing.
Contact List Import - added a new Status column to the import for assigning each contact with a custom status.
Contact Note - added the Name and Account when creating a contact note against a contact record.
Together with a range of smaller enhancements across the CRM, these features make it faster and easier to manage your contacts, accounts, tasks, lists, and opportunities.
Subscription Dashboard (new)
We’ve launched our first iteration of the Subscription Dashboard. Using our familiar dashboard framework, we have developed 6 new subscription charts, providing a quick and easy topline overview of your subscription business. You’ll be able to filter by zone and currency, viewing the data for the past 3, 6, 12 months and over 2 years. The charts included are:
Revenue - Total net revenue from subscriptions including partially and fully paid subscription orders.
Recurring Revenue - Total monthly/quarterly/annual recurring revenue during the selected period.
Subscription Volume - Total number of paid subscriptions created and the number of live subscriptions during the selected period.
New Subscription Customers - Total new subscription customers for selected period.
Churn - Total paid subscriptions that have lapsed and not renewed for the selected period.
Average Revenue Per User - Total revenue / Total subscriptions for the selected period.
Key metrics - displays the revenue, MRR, live subscriptions, renewal rate and churn rate for the current month.
Subscriptions Health Check
We’ve expanded the series of automated health checks to further improve accuracy when setting up subscriptions. These include:
Verifying that the Enable Subscription option is enabled when a Subscription Plan is selected.
Ensuring Automatic Renewal is enabled when a Renewal Catalogue Item is chosen.
Checking the External ID to confirm that pricing is consistent between Affino and the Stripe and PayPal payment gateways.
Checking whether the product article is live.
Additionally, we’ve improved the Renewal Catalogue Item selector by displaying the Catalogue ID. This is especially useful when multiple upgrade items share the same title, making it easier to distinguish between them.
Invoice PDF
We’ve introduced several enhancements to the PDF Invoice, with new configuration options available through the Pro Forma Order and Invoice Profile settings. Key updates include:
Payment Due Date and Payment Terms fields added to the Pro Forma Order.
Option to display the customer’s VAT number and Account number on the PDF Invoice, as configured in the Pro Forma Order.
Option to display the Pro Forma Order Owner (or Salesperson) on the PDF Invoice.
New setting in the Invoice Profile to show bank details beneath the invoice description, instead of placing them in the footer.
Support for a footer banner and an additional information field to provide further instructions or messages on the invoice.
The additional configuration options allow for more detailed information to be included on the PDF invoice.
Awards
We’re rolling out a major update to the Awards functionality within Affino, designed to give you more control, flexibility, and ease of use. Here are the key highlights:
Enhanced entry workflow - new edit screen, enabling administrators to amend user entries within the Control Centre. All changes are fully audited including who updated the entry and when.
Expanded criteria options - new Checkbox, Radio, and File Upload criteria types let you collect a wider range of responses from nominees.
Flexible field visibility - You can now choose to show or hide nominee details such as company name, email, and address.
Streamlined nominations - Optionally allow nomination details to be captured. Disabling this will also hide the "Who are you nominating?" question for a cleaner entry experience.
Customisable navigation - Switch the Back/Next buttons to display text labels instead of arrow icons.
Simplified category selection - If there’s only one category, the category selection step is automatically skipped.
Enhanced support for logo uploads - Nominees can now upload logos in a wider range of formats: EPS, SVG, JPG, PNG, WebP and Zip.
Updated judging workflow - the Judge’s Screen URL is now displayed on the View screen with a copy button and when the entries are closed instead of when the judging begins. This enables administrators to test the judging screen prior to the judging email being sent.
These updates are aimed at making the Awards process more intuitive and adaptable to your unique needs.
Articles
Content creation plays a major part in the Affino platform and we continue to expand and evolve these workflows with each release. Some of the key features include:
The “Show Login Within Article” is now supported in the following articles presentation styles: Simple and Advanced Article, Simple and Advanced Event, Simple and Advanced Feature Article, Review, Gallery, FAQ, Recruitment Brief and Advanced Directory Product.
The following filters have been added to the media item selector on articles to make it easier to search for media items: Title, Zone, Channel, Section, Creator, Created Dates, Keywords, My Media.
Article screen names have been updated with a new setting, configurable on the Zone to set whether to automatically update the article screen name. This is particularly useful if you update the title of the article regularly but do not wish to change the screen name.
Article Sharelines now supports LinkedIn, configured in the Share Profile—Authentication Profile is no longer needed. Please note Facebook removed the option to prefill the comment text box so this is not supported.
Event and seminar articles can now display a timezone label alongside the time on the event presentation templates.
Dynamic Forms
The new features in Dynamic Forms offer significantly greater flexibility, allowing you to build customised workflows for marketing, lead generation, and user registration.
With the new additions, you can now validate users during form submission and merge guest users that match an existing CRM contact. To support this process, key fields such as the contact name, job title, company, and address can now be fully mapped to the contact record.
To complete this workflow, we’ve introduced a multimedia setting on the acknowledgement screen. This will enable users to access an incentive—such as a video presentation or downloadable PDF—after submitting the form.
You can also define a conversion event that redirects users to a specific URL and grant them the appropriate security access level.
With the ability to embed forms directly into articles or sidebars as Design Objects, opens up powerful new opportunities to boost user engagement, gather valuable data, and convert visitors into customers.
Content Subscription
Content Subscriptions has undergone a major overhaul, delivering improved user journeys and more efficient management workflows within the Control Centre. New users can easily subscribe to content when visiting the site as guests by receiving a verification code. This process either creates a new mailing list user type or automatically logs them in if they already exist in the CRM—making access seamless and user-friendly. Additionally, a new Content Subscription Design Element is available, allowing you to place subscription options directly in context for a more engaging user experience.
Accounts Template (new)
The Account template has been enhanced to let you showcase your customers’ featured articles, images, and documents in dedicated new tabs. You can also add a custom tab linking directly to their external website, giving you more flexibility in how you present client information.
Metering Profile
We have switched the Content Security Right selector on the Metering Profile to a multi-selector, meaning you can define more complex user journeys by enabling metered access across multiple secured content scenarios.
Ad Campaigns
Campaign placement has been upgraded to auto-rotate multiple Ad Campaigns set within the same Campaign Theme —without requiring a screen refresh. This increases exposure by displaying a wider range of ads in the same Campaign Placement Area slot.
Data Exports
One of the key enhancements you’ll notice when exporting data from Affino is that all number and date/time values are now formatted to be fully compatible with Excel and other spreadsheet applications. Previously, this was a limitation with our underlying systems, but a recent software provider update has enabled us to standardise these outputs. As a result, you can now run calculations and work with exported data more efficiently—without needing to manually convert values into Number or Date/Time formats. Please note that some columns where the output can have multiple pipe-delimited values will remain in Text format.
It is important to liaise with the support team to schedule an update window where they can be on hand to support the update.
Run through the complete update process starting with the Affino Updater, followed by the sequence of the system and design updates laid out on the Control > Update screen.
Note - make sure you and your team clear the browser cache to see the latest version of the Affino Control Centre, (it will break your team’s experience if they do not do this).
Fixes address elements that didn’t function as expected and have now been improved for better performance. Minor enhancements provide subtle refinements—most users won’t notice them, but some will appreciate them—contributing to an overall smoother Affino experience.
Additionally, we proactively monitor and resolve low-level errors in the background to prevent disruptions and maintain platform stability. On the display side, we continuously update CSS and JavaScript to ensure compatibility with the latest changes in all major web browsers.
Account Profile - new settings to manage the display of featured articles, images, documents and custom link tabs, enabling you to provide even more value to your customers.

Checkout > Receipt - resolved an issue where customers are sent a receipt for an incomplete order. This occurs in a specific scenario where a user creates an order and then logs out but is redirected back to the acknowledgement screen. As a result, a second, incomplete order is created under the same identified user, triggering an incorrect receipt being sent.
