Best of 2022 Entertainment - Favourite Albums, Songs, Movies and TV Shows

Yet another hectic and eclectic year - dominated by Beyoncé’s ’Cuff It’ and Tom Cruise’s ’Top Gun : Maverick’.

A real mixed bag of a year, and probably not a vintage one overall, while still some seminal moments - including indy flick ’Everything Everywhere All At Once’. Besides that though there weren’t any major evolutions this year - and we’re still actively mining the 80’s and 90’s in particular.

I’m not sure there were any particular seminal or game-changing enduring classics released this year - while still plenty to keep you entertained every which way. We’ve never had more choice or more variety in any case.

As usual I trawled through dozens of albums and songs to make my favourite selections - so hopefully there is something here that appeals to you all. These individual selections were re-jigged dozens of times before this final formation - on a different day the order would have likely been somewhat different - while the top 3 to 5 positions are pretty solid - possibly top 10 even - with the remainder being somewhat more arbitrary.

In any case I hope there is at least something here that tickles your fancy.
