Our dynamic duo Markus and JC attended the PPA New Talent Awards last night and were quite overcome by the large number of friendly faces they encountered. All are of the opinion that this was a superb event, so well done to PPA for organising and Lisa Smosarski for hosting. Recently a lot of Affino sites have stared to implement custom CSS. We’re going to make this both easier in Affino 7, and remove the main need for doing so at the same time.
Most of the time custom styles are used, are when fonts / titles / content styling needs tweaking. Till now Affino has had very limited native options for styling text. That will all change in Affino 7 with tight control over different headings, content and titles.
The most important developments in this release are speed and usability. We’ve made Affino more usable and approachable across the board. There has been great progress in our three main target areas for 2011: usability, mobile / tablet and ecommerce; and we’re on course to deliver transformed experiences with all three this year.

Initially this was going to be a very quick follow-on release to Affino 6.0.7 to resolve any issues that come from the major new Affino release. It has grown a fair bit and includes key new abilities including a great new Lead Generation platform, new Chart content, updated Media Library, greatly improved Comments and Ratings and another set of major improvements in the Control Centre.
