Affino congratulates PPA Awards Business Media Brand of the Year - Raconteur Media
It was brilliant being back at the 2022 PPA Publishing awards this year. The black tie affair retains its glamour and was well attended as always. We had an excellent table, with a number Affino client team members along for the evening including from: The Stage and The Bookseller as well as Ocean Media Group and Ocki. Also in attendance at the table were Slav of Data Legends and Steve from Da8aflo.
The event was well organised and flowed very nicely. The only challenge being getting in our wine order for which we were fortunate to have Sue on hand to co-ordinate. Sebastian was the third Affino team member along for the evening.
As usual we sponsored and presented a great award category, this year’s one being the Business Brand of the Year, a category we feel very close to given that we work with an ever increasing number of B2B media brands.
Event Partner Affino
Affino has been a PPA Awards sponsor since 2015 and this year is no different. We are great believers in, and supporters of the PPA and its mission to support the publishing community.
Grosvenor House Hotel Venue
The venue this year was the the Grosvenor House, as usual. It's great to be back at what is a very nice Park Lane venue.
Outstanding House Band
One of the highlights of the night was the incredible house band, which played in every intro and award winner and then for the dancing.
The standard was excellent throughout, including late into the night for the boogie.
The Host - Tess Daly
This is the second, or even third publishing awards ceremony we have sponsored and presented at which has had Tess Daly as the host, and she is a consistently excellent host for the night.

Out of all the shortlisted entries it was a somewhat surprising, and in some quarters controversial win for Raconteur for the Business Media Brand category. The Affino team wish all at Raconteur the best for what is a breakthrough win for them in this category.
Supporting Fresh Talent!
Affino has always prided itself on supporting the underdog - indeed we have been the underdog in previous years.
Many congratulations to Raconteur Media for taking the win against so many illustrious competitors.
We take pride whenever a David manages to topple a Goliath or two - hopefully a sign of great things to come for Raconteur - who are understandably jubilant in the afterglow of their memorable win!
