What is it?

Affino’s Message Campaigns allow you to package content from your site - in both formal and informal frameworks - and send as SMS or email - to be received and read on a vast variety of devices - both static and on the move.

 

Within the modern dynamic there are essentially 3 types - Personal Message, SMS and Premium Responsive. The most recent of the three and last mentioned, makes use of 4 default templates which can be customised - Simple, Article Listing, Catalogue Item Listing, and Recruitment Listing. Several Clients have made their own templates or commissioned further custom varieties from Affino.

 

As with everything in Affino, Messages are seamlessly ingrained with everything else in the system which as always makes for some unique synergies and gives you more utility in what you can do before and after.

  • Bulk Mailing List Subscriptions - Bulk Subscriptions based on Mailing List, Contact List, Security Group and User Profile
  • Bulk Mailing List Unsubscribes - Transfer Mailing Unsubscribes from one List to another
  • Contact Lists - Manually and / or automatically compiled lists of campaign targets
  • Conversion Events - These can be used as Triggers for various Message Campaigns - alerts, notifications, recognition, rewards and other means to motivate and up-sell
  • Default Messages - Compose Default Messages which you can use to preload 'Messages' either for emergency response or for very common tasks
  • Mailing Lists - The Subscriber Lists which alongside Contact Lists control who gets message, for subscriber and un-subscriber management
  • Mailing List Channel Type - Actual Channel Type whereby users / customers manually subscribe and unsubscribe from Mailing Lists, and associated free print and digital subscriptions
  • Mailing List Subscriber Import - Add, Unsubscribe or Delete Users from selected Mailing Lists
  • Mailing List Analysis - track subscription levels over time
  • Messages - The individual Messages sent out to Mailing or Contact Lists, note that Message Campaign needs to exist first, and if you are using Premium Responsive Messages you need to copy and adapt one of the default or custom Message Templates
  • Message Analysis - View Recipients, Total Message Opens, Users yet to Read, Click-throughs, Registered via Message Referral, Bounced and Unsubscribed - ability to generate further Mailing Lists from any highlighted category
  • Message Campaigns - The starting point for Messages - select from Personal Message / SMS / Premium Responsive - select Mailing List, Security Groups, Accounts, Contact Lists, Contact List Exclusions, Member Activity Trigger, Customer Purchase, Age Range, Topics, Message Template, Campaign Theme, Event Trigger / Conversion Event and Scheduling etc. (one-off / set time / daily / weekly / fortnightly / monthly)
  • Message Campaign Analysis - Message Analysis by Campaign group - can see latest vs average for Opens, Clicks and Unsubscribes
  • Message Templates - Currently 4 default types with more coming - Simple / Article Listing / Catalogue Items Listing / Recruitment Listing, easy to copy and support numerous personalisation and content variables
  • Related Mailing List - Ability to display Mailing List sign-up next to relevant content
  • SMS Provider Profile - For SMS to work, you need contract with SMS Provider Service - and you need to enter details into profile, currently optimised for txtlocal
  • User Import / Export - advanced subscription management including mailing list sign-ups

How is it different?

Most companies these days use Mailchimp, Adestra and similar third party plugin platforms for their message campaigns. Affino's unified and holistic platform approach extends to every area of company activity, meaning that Affino Message Campaigns are seamlessly baked into the core system - i.e. hard-wired to the CRM, Analytics and CMS and DAM engines as well as of course Sales & Marketing Automation for real-time targeting.

 

This means that messages in Affino can be fully automatically triggered by all manner of activities. Then can be sent out on a schedule - i.e. daily or weekly latest news, the can be sent out on an occasion - birthday or particular milestone even as set up on either Message Campaign or via Conversion Event.

 

Via the Message Templates, you can craft any format of message to suit any occasion. Affino takes all of the hard work out of it. With other systems you need to rely on separate databases and various degrees of integration. While with Affino it's all just there out-of-the-box and waiting to be used.

 

Affino has a far lower overhead for operations and systems maintenance as everything is seamlessly baked into the same unified platform. Because of how it is set up, and the 50+ Conversion Events amongst other forms of automation - Affino has certain synergies and abilities that just can't be found anywhere else. For sure there are mailing systems with greater individual mailing-specific feature sets, but none that can match Affino for overall scope and ability.
